The European Campus Card Association Conference (ECCA) was held at Università Cattolica Milan, Italy, with the assistance of their organisations EDUCatt and ENDISU, from May 15^th to 17^th.  This conference, which was attended by over 110 delegates from 20 countries, was an outstanding success. Presentations and workshops were presented by expert speakers from across the world, including Europe, Canada, USA, Australia and Asia. A wide range of topics was discussed and included sessions on the global scene on student identification, migration from physical to digital, interoperability and sustainability, and mobile devices & digital wallets.

The conference exhibition area, also attracted a number of leading companies and technology developers, providing an insight into the current and future technology hardware and software solutions. These included Elatec, Entrust, HID Global, ColorID, KUARIO, Evolis, Ana-U, SystemHouse Solutions, inepro, and Unicard.

ECCA continues to become a stronger association each year and this was particularly evident at this year’s conference. Next year’s conference will be hosted by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), Germany.
